Megaliths of Montneuf

Megaliths and menhirs on a beautiful plateau

During a family break in Brittany we were fortunate to be travelling via a number of dramatic neolithic sites like the Megaliths of Montneuf, just south of the ancient forests around Paimpont where tales of King Arthur hang in the air

After a stop off in La Gacilly we made it to Les Demoiselles de Cojoux, part of a huge site around Saint-Just with burial chambers, megaliths and menhirs on a beautiful plateau that finishes on a cliff edge overlooking the winding river below, breathtaking

This place is worth a few days of exploring but maybe next time
