This month we have chosen Seamus Heaney’s first ever collection Death of a Naturalist published by Faber in 1966.

Containing 34 poems, it’s themes are far-reaching from childhood to poems grappling with identity but also the beginnings of works inspired by the land and ancient sites. Our personal favourites are of course Digging and the eponymous Death of a Naturalist…
