Nuraghe Losa and the Holy Well of Santo Cristino in Sardinia, Italy. There are over 7,000 nuraghe towers in Sardinia and several holy well sites of the ancient Cult of Water, all dating back to the early bronze age and built by the mystetious Nuragic civilization. Little is know of these indigenous people but it is clear they were master architects. I was surprised to discover you could enter both the tower and descend into the well. The interior of the Nuraghe was much larger than I expected and the stones so expertly assembled high above my head, perfectly in tact after thousands of years. A surreal and powerful experience.
