Maen Ceti

a doomed roadtrip taking an Ex to see the stones and realising enchantment is not a feeling you can force

It features a journey to the 25 tone capstone of Maen Ceti and the 2500 BC chamber under it where i spent a lot of time hiding as an angsty goth teen! The lyrics sung in ‘Wenglish’ (Welsh and English) are about a doomed roadtrip taking an Ex to see the stones and realising enchantment is not a feeling you can force, as well as what these stones mean as constants to return to in the lives of ordinary people like me who grew up in such close proximity to them. It’s also a love letter to the deep modernist strangeness of my hometown Swansea.
