Well Dressed – Dark Peak // White Peak

29th November 2025

Tickets

Well Dressed return for another day exploring the folklore, customs and curiosities of the Peak District, and beyond, through music, art, film and performance.

We are delighted to welcome artist and big yomper, Man In The Woods, up to the Peaks for a chat about his ‘Friday Walks’.

Well Dressed favourite folk powerhouse, Jennifer Reid, will be joining us to showcase her incredible album ‘The Ballad Of The Gatekeeper’.

Artist and folk researcher, Lucy J. Wright, presents her talk ‘Folk Is A Feminist Issue’.

We’re excited to have Simon Scott, of Slowdive, sharing his ambient field recordings, inspired by Fens folklore.

Artist Tamsin Wilson, is bringing her ‘Jonkonnu’ project to Well Dressed; a masquerade folk tradition from the Caribbean, which debuted at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival.

After her beautiful performance at Solstice Transmissions, we’ve invited Elspeth Anne back to the Peaks to delight us with her haunting dark folk and drones.

The wonderful Off Beat Folk Film Club will be in the house, along with welcoming back our pals Weird Derbyshire, Studio Skai, Callanish AVR, Hwaet! Zine, T And The Creatures and Heath and Mud.

Plus! We’re cooking up something special with our pals Stone Club. Details coming soon.

Plus! Closing party with Andy Votel, dropping weird world tunes in amongst our stone circle.
