Todmorden, 11th & 12th October
A harmonic gathering of minds in the mystical calderdale valley
Stone Club and resonance are joining forces to curate a three-day festival of esoteric disciplines, connected by a shared imagination. Encompassing stones, drones, folklore, walks & talks, the gathering brings a diverse connected web of practitioners from across these fields.
Throughout the weekend we will be joined by musicians, artists, mystics, and writers. Including The Transcendence Orchestra (Surgeon and Dan Bean) who will be producing a unique piece for Harmonicon together with C. Lavender & Paddy Shine, to close the weekend. Harmonicon is based in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, 30 mins from Manchester by train but in a different world. The town is a beacon for the unusual, situated in the centre of the UFO valley, it is steeped in folklore, myth and magic. The festival will meander between different venues around Todmorden, from the grade 1 listed Unitarian Church (reportedly the most haunted in the UK) to Egg cafe for an exhibition, the Workshop for films, the energetic Golden Lion for our opening, and the eclectic bar and venue Nan Moors.
But what is a Harmonicon you ask? It is a harmonic instrument of stones, resonating and relating with each other. We wanted to use this philosophy for a gathering of interconnectivity, esoterics and putting the pieces together. Artists and speakers confirmed include,
