iO Pan - When The Lid Opens
When The Lid Opens by iO Pan.
A kaleidoscopic trip of folk horror, strange stories and retro beats. This will appeal to fans of Detroit Techno but also people who take magic mushrooms!
iO Pan is an artist, musician and DJ who has presented live art at the Barbican Centre, the Open Data Institute, the Royal College of Art and Goldsmiths University. As a DJ iO Pan was a resident for legendary Sheffield clubs Gatecrasher, The Leadmill and Plug throughout the 90s.
When The Lid Opens sees an amalgamation of iO Pan’s narrative led art, passion for late 80s and early 90s dance music, and love of folk horror and 70s and 80s children’s TV. During the making of the album, iO Pan worked with local actors to help bring the vision to life.
iO Pan presents the full-length album When The Lid Opens on Sound Records whose roster includes KiF Productions, Benyayer, Yarni and Lara Jones, coming on Vinyl and Digital release, 6.11.2026.
